TINSEL FOR THE TROOPS!

For the second year running we are delighted to have supplied Christmas decorations to our troops in Afghanistan.

Last year we sent out over 170 boxes containing everything from tinsel, battery operated lights, paper and foil decorations to trees and decorations, to add a bit of festive spirit to their camps.

This year we are proud to say that they have returned to ChristmasTimeUK for more decorations.  We are happy to help in order to keep the moral high over this seasonal period whilst being away from home.

A NEW DESIGNER COLLECTION LANDS AT CHRISTMASTIMEUK

Jette Frolich has been designing home and Christmas accessories in Denmark for over 30 years and is well known for her unique, elegant and simple style.

Jette started making paper decorations from her home, where she set up her own Christmas exhibition.  Her work soon became more successful than cone decorations after a Danish Interior Design magazine saw her artwork and published it in their Christmas issue in 1966.

From there the adventure grew and she has become extremely popular not only in the Christmas world, but creating general home ware, tableware and much more.  Allowing you to bring a touch of Scandinavian living into your home all year round!

NIGELLA RETURNS TO CHRISTMASTIMEUK

Nigella Lawson has returned to ChristmasTimeUK for a 3rd year running. Nigella has ordered some of our fantastic chilli lights. There are 20 chillis in total and each chilli measures 2.5 inches in length. The bulbs are clear with a red soft plastic chilli shade which give a warm red glow. They are brilliant to spice up your kitchen, restaurant or shop this winter!

BBC COME BACK TO FIZZCO

BBC have come back to us once again to supply them with Christmas decorations for one of their leading drama series, Doctors.

BBC grabbed 2 of our Kelso Pine 3ft artificial potted Christmas trees, leaving only one in stock!  Click here to see this tree, and grab it fast! Ten packs of our beautiful Casasa outdoor tree bows were ordered, along with a selection of high quality decorations from our 'designer' section.

These included a Gisela Graham 23 cm Toadstool Fairy Tree Topper,  three of our 180cm Peter Harvey garlands from the 'Fresh Berry' range.

The show also ordered 2 sets of multicoloured plastic bulb party lights by Garden King and a Silver Beaded Snowflake Tree Topper.

 We are happy to supply The Red Gate Gallery with some Konstsmide clear fairy lights.

The Red Gate Gallery & Studios were founded in 1998 and has since hosted over 470 art exhibitions and events!  In fact, in October 2008, they celebrated their 10th Anniversary!

NEW BBC MUSICAL COMEDY SERIES ORDERS FROM FIZZCO

CBBC has commissioned a new comedy drama called My Almost Famous Family, which will feature a young deaf performer in one of its leading roles.

The 12-part series, which is about a group of siblings that perform together as the house band of a fictional chat show, is being made by the BBC, and penned by a team of writers including Gail Renard and Emma Reeves.

Composer and performer Richie Webb, whose credits include the BBC Radio 4 series 15 Minute Musical, is working as the show’s musical director.

BBC have ordered two of our themed decorating packs containing approximately 100 individual decorating items in each for the filming of the shows which will commence next week.

We are proud to supply them with a Merry Berry and a Lady Loves package which will brighten up any room with vibrant fushias, deep reds and midnight blues to the contrast of black, silver and velvet purples.

'Gulliver's Travels' stops by ChristmasTimeUK's website

Pinewood studios have ordered 72 sets of Noma 40 clear static outdoor harlequin cone lamps on a green cable for the filming of Gulliver's Travels which is scheduled to premiere in June 2010.

A big screen adaptation with Jack Black taking on the title role of Lemuel Gulliver, a free-spirited travel writer who, on an assignment to the Bermuda Triangle, suddenly finds himself a giant among men when he washes ashore on the hidden island of Liliput, home to a population of industrious, yet tiny, people.

The film is being directed by Rob Letterman and produced by Twentieth Century Fox UK.

Doctor Who Returns...

BBC have just placed another order with us for the filming of their Christmas Day episode of Doctor Who 2009.

This time its icicle lights!

Konstsmide 90 Blue LED Acrylic Icicle Lights on a Black Cable

The icicles measure approximately 25cm and the set is approximately 15 metres long.  The lights are on a black cable and further sets can be added if you require a longer length.  Simply use the screw in plug at the end of the set of lights and you're done!

BBC have just placed an order for the Christmas filming of the Dr Who series on BBC One.

Dr Who is one of the most popular TV series on BBC One with thousands of viewers.
